Our 4D*51MM Grey 4080 Low Melting Bicomponent Staple Fiber (ES Fiber) is a professional thermobondable sheath-core fiber designed for thermal bonding nonwoven industry. Featured with 4080 classic sheath-core structure and in-situ mass dyed grey tone, this fiber can form stable self-bonded fabric after heating without additional adhesives. It is the preferred raw material for grey hard wadding, filter felts, automotive sound absorption materials and various thermally bonded nonwoven products.
Common low melting fibers rely on post-dyeing process, which often leads to uneven color, color transfer and fading risks. Our grey low melting fiber adopts melt mass coloration technology. Color pigment is evenly dispersed inside fiber polymer during spinning. The grey shade keeps consistent among different batches, greatly saving downstream dyeing procedures and lowering wastewater treatment cost.

Adopts classic 4080 sheath-core design. The outer sheath melts at low temperature under proper heating, while the inner polyester core maintains original fiber strength and framework structure. After cooling, fibers interconnect firmly to form stable three-dimensional network. No extra glue or adhesive is needed, avoiding volatile chemical additives.
Grey pigment is added into polymer melt during spinning (mass coloration), instead of post-dyeing. Color uniformity between batches is excellent, hardly color difference. The finished nonwoven products resist fading under regular usage. Perfect for grey finished products to skip secondary dyeing and reduce production cost.
4D medium denier delivers balanced rigidity and toughness. 51mm universal staple length is widely compatible with carding machines, air-laid and thermal bonding production lines. Fibers have great cohesion for uniform web formation, low fly waste, supporting long-time continuous high-speed manufacturing.
After thermal treatment, cross-point bonding between fibers provides outstanding structural stability. The thermally bonded wadding owns good hardness, compression resistance and anti-deformation capacity. Products will not loose easily under long-term compression, ideal for hard wadding, filter media and sound-absorbing materials.
Can be blended with conventional hollow fiber, solid polyester fiber according to different stiffness requirements. Manufacturers can adjust mixing proportion to control product hardness, air permeability and resilience, realizing diversified product grades from semi-hard to rigid nonwoven materials.
